What is the "Who I Am Project" 24/24?
I'll be photography 24 Tween Girls in the first part of 2024, interviewing their parents, friends and coaches/leaders, and mixing the imagery with words.
The goal is to help pre-teen girls feel beautiful inside and out, and have an unshakable confidence in who they are right now...before (and while) they hit junior high and beyond.

The media, world, & "influencers" are pushing unrealistic beauty standards on our pre-teens these days.
Add to that Instagram filters that make people look almost unrecognizable and not at all real-life, and constantly being bombarded with those images on social media and everywhere online.
It’s no wonder our youth are more self-conscious today than ever, particularly at this age when they are trying to get used to their new and ever-changing faces, adult-sized-teeth smiles, and everything in-between.
And I'm on a mission to change that with the Who I Am Project.

Hi, I'm Lisa Edwards.
And you're probably a lot like me.
I'm a mom of two awesome tween boys ages 10 & 12 (and an 8-year-old). And, if you're like me, while most of the time everything seems "just fine" with your child...just because they say that doesn't mean it is...
...and you also know that you'd do just about anything to make your child feel even an ounce more confidence...
...an ounce more self-love...or joy...to see themselves in their own eyes the way you see them...
...to like themselves even a TINY bit more when they look in the mirror...
...to love their freckles, adore their braces-filled-smile, and ignore people calling them "string-bean" and "geek" because they're tall and wear glasses...
...to take away even a tiny bit of the pain they might feel inside, if only for a moment, and feel that pain for them instead...
...Not just because you are their mother, but because you remember what it felt like too, at that age. And knowing they are going through something similar feels like your heart is made out of glass shattering into a million pieces.
And the worst part about it, is often feeling like there's nothing we can do to help...
That's why I created the Who I Am Project. So that Mom's like you can stop feeling like that. And instead, help your tweens feel beautiful inside & out, & have an unshakable confidence in herself.
How Much it Costs + What's Included:
In-Studio Portrait Session:
During this 1.5-2 hours we'll have a ton of fun! I'll photograph your daughter in a way that showcases who she is. That can include everyday clothes, more "dressy" clothes, access to my style closet and props, and even hobbies & extracurricular activities.
Portrait Consultation:
We'll talk about your daughter's personality and plan clothing, the look, and the feel that represent her the best.
Written and Video/Audio Interviews:
I'll interview you and those that are closest to your daughter. This will become part of her image reveal, making it an even bigger impact. You'll receive copies of all types of interviews.
The Image Reveal:
This is SUCH a special time! You, your daughter, and your family will get to view her images in a slideshow set to music with parts of the interviews infused. I have seen dads cry, tweens get teary eyed, and of course moms (and even me in the back) needing to frantically find the Kleenex box. (Don't worry - I have plenty to go around!)
8x10 Matted Print + Word Art:
Imagine the impact a single image with positive words can have on your tween daughter. This fine art print is matted and ready to be put in a frame, so that everyday your daughter can see how the beauty inside of her shows on the outside.
Corresponding Digital File:
You'll receive the digital file of your matted artwork, ready to print.
